This article was automatically assessed because at least one article was rated and this bot brought all the other ratings up to at least that level. BetacommandBot 11:28, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lovesong[edit]

I don't see the point in the addition of the comment re the novel LOVESONG. If the comment is required it should be added to a page specifically dedicated to the novel. If there are no objections within a couple of days I will remove it. Perry Middlemiss (talk) 23:09, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I saw it yesterday and wondered. That list may be interesting but I don't think it's relevant to point to it from a biblio of Jolley's works. As you say, it may be relevant in an article on that novel.Sterry2607 (talk) 04:31, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Australian Literature[edit]

This article has been listed on the WikiProject Australian Literature as being of high-importance, and has been flagged for cleanup. The reason given is that it is among the "Articles with unsourced statements".

The page currently includes 15 notes/references and approx 17 external links.

I'd say this was looking pretty good now. I concede it needs pages for each of the novels, but, other than that, the original reason for cleanup would seem no longer to apply. --Perry Middlemiss (talk) 00:56, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. A year or so ago it had a lot of unsourced statements - and there are still a couple - but I think it is better referenced now - well, I hope so, as I did a lot of work on it LOL. I'd love to work on the novels one day but I seem to be a bit overcommitted at present. Go ahead if you have the time! Sterry2607 (talk) 11:03, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It is looking good, and thanks for all your work on the article. I've tried to find references for a couple of statements here but am having no luck. It might be better to delete them rather than leave them hanging uncited. I doubt that it adds a lot to the piece knowing that Jolley was a good cook and had a lot of the world's writers round for dinner. As for the books, I added a page for THE WELL but am loathe to add others, without a lot of detail, unless there is a specific need, such as a literary award. I also have a few other projects I need to finish up. --Perry Middlemiss (talk) 22:10, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changed categories[edit]

I have reinstated the categories : Australian novelists, Australian short story writers and Australian women writers. These had been removed c2011 and replaced by their English versions. However, while Jolley was born in England her published literary output was produced in Australia. She won Australian literary awards, received an Australian honour, and was an Australian National Living Treasure at her death. She needs to be recorded as an Australian writer in the appropriate categories. Sterry2607 (talk) 05:10, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
