Please don't erase verified bio data[edit]

Two IP editors have erased the birth data for Elizabeth Price Foley, once on 24 April 2007 and once on 27 April 2007. Please don't erase verified bio data. If you have contradictory data, please present on this talk page, and let's reach a consensus. --Bejnar 02:06, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, Elizabeth Price Foley objects to having her birth date in her Wikipedia article, even though it appears on the Internet in her "Elizabeth Price Foley" Mardindale-Hubbell directory listing. See WP:OTRS ticket 2007042910015384 per JzG on 29 April 2007. ---- Bejnar (talk) 17:51, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The objection is to using the specific date of birth, which can facilitate identity theft. The Martindale-Hubbell directory listing should not contain specific birth-date information for this reason as well. There is nothing wrong with using the year of birth information, and this was not the basis for the objection. Thus, the year of birth information can remain with no risk to the individual whose biography is posted on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.94.164.186 (talk) 03:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have no objection to that - certainly lacking something as trivial as a day of birth (for a living person) does not detract from the encyclopedic quality of the article. Cheers! bd2412 T 05:36, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
