Can anyone get a picture of Gould on his own? --Mike Infinitum 21:46, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found a photo screenshot from the movie Ocean's Twelve of Elliott Gould by himself and have replaced the photo accordingly, I hope that this will work better. --Chad 04:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Gould" is an English name? If you say so. I know lots of Jewish kids I grew up with surnamed Gould. His real name is, perhaps, a Yiddish or Hebrew name, or even German or Russian. Many Jewish people lived in Eastern Europe 'til the (in my opinion) assholic Nazis killed many of them during the Holocaust. Many of their family members moved to the UK and US during the 19th and 20th centuries, most likely, like Mr. Gould's family. Or it could the other, as, in my personal case, our only Jewish family member, married in 1640, came to the English American Colonies during the 1620s, and married into the family simply because she spoke German, and, at the time, nobody could understand English, French, Spanish or American Indian languages. So, it's possible Mr. Gould's stock could've came any possible way to America, and he chose to adopt an easier name to remember, i.e. "Gould". Apple8800 (talk) 17:04, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"Gould" is from "Goldstein", his father's name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:6AE5:2510:0:0:0:46 (talk) 00:54, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
