Plagiarism[edit]

the section on the character history has been copied and pasted from the marvel website —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.25.180.126 (talk) 12:23, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are we sure? The edit that added in what is currently the content under discussion was this in October 2007. The Marvel Universe wiki has been linked to for a while and it would be odd that no one has noticed before now. The problem is I can't find the editing history over there so it is unclear when their version went live (so I have no way of telling if that version is from here).
We can obviously reinstate the earlier biography but I'd want to be sure first. (Emperor (talk) 13:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]
No it was actually this edit from July 2007 from an anon IP who also moved the Nextwave information up from other versions (which has since been corrected.
Using the Internet Archive it looks like the Marvel Universe version goes back to 2006. [1] I'll put the bio back to the state it was in before the anon IP edited it unless someone comes up with better information on the history. (Emperor (talk) 13:21, 10 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]
That's the right thing to do, to be on the safe side. Someone needs only rewrite the bio and we'll be square. 71.194.32.252 (talk) 15:23, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, the edit histories on Marvel.com disappear after a few months, so using the Internet Archive is the way to go. I just looked there myself and I concur that the Marvel Universe article was created first. So, let's roll it back. :-) --GentlemanGhost (talk) 21:32, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The older bio is in - I didn't expand it but I'll see what I can do about expanding the PH. I might move some of the Nextwave material up to. (Emperor (talk) 22:30, 10 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]
sorry i didn't realise that was a wiki, i didn't even notice, i must be getting slow in my old age. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.25.180.126 (talk) 23:19, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
