News from the West Wing[edit]

There was absolutely no justification given for deleting the News from the West Wing section. The publication did exist, I'm guessing before your time, but it is properly sourced and was written about the in the Morning Call. I suggest if you really have a burning desire to remove it, you come up with a better reason than, "news from the west wing is stupid." Oh, and sign your name. --Farbotron 05:15, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The West Wing Section is blatant self-promotion --Joe 04:40, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually the West Wing section is pretty poor self promotion since there are no specific names mentioned in that section.--Farbotron 15:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I vote to keep it, as long as we put up a section about the stinger as well. Dboyz-x.etown 05:16, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I vote to remove it, its blatant self promotion and ive never heard anyone ever mention it. it might be "before my time" but it obiously hasnt left a legacy. i propose replacing it with a subsection about the stinger User:Ksharpe126

I agree with Dboyz. Write a section on the Stinger, but keep the West Wing. Lots of newspapers and events may have been "before your time," but it doesn't mean they're not worth noting in Wikipedia. --63.239.43.99 18:34, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the 1960s, the school paper was known as the E-Hive. It was school sponsored, and in those days, school papers had to have every word approved. Anybody know when it died? Would some old e-Hive staffer like to add a line to the history section?

still no thing about the stinger, I'll write a section about the stinger and have New from the west wing below it, still not notable at all in my opinion. since ive asked many seniors about it and no one had a clue what it was, ill keep it in for now. --Ksharpe126 23:16, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So how about just renaming the section to student-run newspaper or something similar and describe the three mentioned incarnations of the school newspaper? Tom and Farbotron, you help would be appreciated. Dboyz-x.etown 01:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT! added stinger section, feel free to make changes. but please summarise changes on either my talk board or the discussion board here. EDIT AGAIN! Added a picture. --Ksharpe126 23:16, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing the page to say students from Allentown go to Emmaus high school. The city of Allentown is the Allentown School district. People with an Allentown address may go to Emmaus high school, but an Allentown address does not indicate an Allentown resident necessarily.

Extended history back before 1955[edit]

The school was founded in 1955. It underwent a vast renovation and expansion in 2000 that added many facilities and incorporated the former Emmaus Junior High School into the high school as the school's new North Wing. The school completed a second addition in 2004.

I checked out the article on EHS, and found the paragraph above as the history entry. Actually, the first graduating class of EHS was from 1890, so I filled in the history from the 19th century to the present.

The sources I used were

Emaus Golded Jubilee Booklet, 1909 EHS Class Book- 1916 EHS Tattler, Commencement Edition, 1931 Emaus Diamond Jubilee Booklet, 1934

as well as the recollections of the high school experiences of

Mae Kremser Rinehart, EHS, 1916 (deceased) Raymond Skeeter Roth, EHS, 1916 (deceased) Phyllis Rinehart Harwick, EHS, 1945 Tom Harwick EHS, 1969

Can someone please verify how many Freddy Awards Emmaus won versus Whitehall? Justify with the actual awards given please.

Keith Jarrett[edit]

Why does someone keep removing Keith Jarrett from the alumni list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.7.9.34 (talk) 01:35, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Emmaus hornets logo.jpg[edit]

Image:Emmaus hornets logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
