Picture[edit]

Why is the a picture on Mariah performing Hero at the Inaugural Ball in 2009 in the commercial performance section? Hero is not from the Emotions album and the picture has nothing to do with the album.calvin999 (talk) 09:47, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Upon release, Emotions received generally mixed reviews from music critics; many of them had mixed feelings regarding the album's material." Remove where i have striked as its redundant, of course the material is the thing that is mixed, they are not commenting on her face =P

Critical reception
  • "He called the album's lead single "bone chilling," however calling some of the album's high notes "vocal range overkill." Not a proper sentence. Please rewrite.
  • "He outed" is used twice, this is not the word you are looking for; i would use "called" "chose" "selected" ect ect, something like that.
  • "however calling most of the album unoriginal and not an improvement over her debut." Tense issue, however he called
  • "DeKnock called some of the album's ballads "boring," however calling Carey's voice "breathtaking." Again, tense, "he called" not calling.

  • Unless im blind, "dance-pop" in the info box is not sourced anywhere or mentioned in the article.
  • "According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album's stateside sales are estimated at over 3,584,000, not including sales from BMG music clubs." is also unsourced.

Orphaned references in Emotions (Mariah Carey album)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Emotions (Mariah Carey album)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
