I do not agree with this statement - "excludes parts that are contained in drawing notes" Parts that are contained in drawing notes are required to build the assy. Engineering has defined that they are required by including them on the drawing in the notes. Therefore, they are considered part of the EBOM. The EBOM is not ONLY the part list of a drawing.
