Thanks[edit]

To whomever fixed the sorry excuse for a listing of the ERB's. There was entirely too much OR, but the person who inserted it was bound and determined it remain. Things like Sarah Palin and Lady Gaga battling supposedly over who was the most feminine, or Cleopatra and Marilyn Monroe battling over which was the most beautiful. There is no such source, none, that assigns motives for the combatants to engage in a rap battle. It was all purely unapologetic speculation, and thus fit only for removal. This revision is excellent. Props to the responsible party. PatrickLMT (talk) 19:09, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Revision to ERB Listing[edit]

Whoever did this most recent edit needs to be horsewhipped. This variation is absolutely the worst ever. There isn't even a pretense of objectivity operating. Each one reads like a movie promotion. Where did this editor -- I haven't it up in history -- get the idea that Bill O'Reilly and John Lennon, for instance, were competing to see has the most angst? This opinionated editorializing is worse than bad. It sucks out loud. Let's confine it to objective fact, please. PatrickLMT (talk) 14:56, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Left most of the summaries intact, but removed the purely speculative parts, referring to those portions that assign objectives to the battles. There is no place in the video that describes Lady Gaga and Sarah Palin as competing to see who is the most feminine. Their motives for engaging each other are NEVER given in any ERBoH, therefore they belong to the realm of Original Research and are appropriately removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.65.14.14 (talk) 19:05, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Allegations of theft[edit]

I noticed that someone repeatedly changed the name of the person who claimed copyright. The full name provided by Youtube Sevastian Belo. I checked the IP of the "Author" and is from Marbella, Spain. But searching on Google I found an article about a famous man from Marbella, called Sevastian Belo "A Local Marbella Resident 'Sevastian Belo' Celebrates New Years with Gun Shots". It says he's a record producer signed under Masco Records, Warner Brothers Group and MTV Media has had many similar allegations towards him and is a well known persona for his rock star attitude around his home city Marbella. The question is: Did Belo get payed for his work or did these video makers scam him? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.27.17.38 (talk) 21:13, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming characters[edit]

It has recently been confirmed that there will be appearances of Gordon Ramsay, Julia Child, Frederick Douglass, and Caitlyn Jenner, played by EpicLLOYD, Mamrie Hart, J. B. Smoove, and NoShame, respectively. Can these be added on the page? This concerns any covers or hints that will be released in the future. A new battle will arrive on Monday as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noroftheair (talkcontribs) 18:47, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Noroftheair If you've got a source, go for it! Deus vult! Crusadestudent (talk) 18:55, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
How do I source things that can be seen but need an explanation in source? Someone just removed the majority of my stuff without reviewing it. Of course I understand some sources are unreliable, but this should be basic to know what means what. Noroftheair (talk) 19:32, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Could you give an example or a link? Is it in a video? There's a template to cite videos, {{cite video}}, I think. Deus vult! Crusadestudent (talk) 19:35, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The hint can be found within a video, but it is so short and subtle, it doesn't account for a source with a true point. An image would work, but I am not sure if that would be a good source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noroftheair (talkcontribs) 19:39, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I did review your edits, and I gave my reasons for their removal. You need to carefully read through Wikipedia's policies on original research. Sources need to explicitly state the information you're trying to add. The video with NoShame is good because Nice Peter says (1) she's going to be in a future episode, and (2) her character is Caitlyn Jenner. On the other hand, Mamrie Hart's Instagram picture does not specifically state it has anything to do with Epic Rap Battles (even though it most likely does), so we can't use it as a source. It's bureaucratic and annoying to deal with, but that's just the way Wikipedia works. Bottom line, if sources are not readily available and strong enough, we can always just wait for the episodes to air. Wikipedia is not on a deadline and it is also not a crystal ball. Question[edit]

Why do articles have the celebrities addressed by surnames instead of given names?

John Wick in "Recurring Cast"[edit]

It's been confirmed Zach Sherwin will portray John Wick in Season 7, can someone who knows how to add it please do that thanks Larkkyy (talk) 00:17, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Recurring Cast with Video Only Roles[edit]

In certain ERB fights (Ivan the Terrible vs Alexander the Great being an example), certain characters make a reappearance as a video-only cameo. Should they appear in recurring cast, or does that not count? Lavi edits stuff (talk) 01:14, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
