Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (it will present the profile of a current relevant african leader and researcher) --Sestupinan (talk) 21:03, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Sestupinan: Then you need to make clear how he's significant/important. Not every academic is significant. —C.Fred (talk) 21:05, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, how can I do that? He's relevant in many spheres, president of the The African Umbrella Organisation of NRW Germany, officer of United Nations University, he made it to a List of 100 Most Influential Africans in Germany, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sestupinan (talkcontribs) 21:08, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Who published the list of 100 most influential Africans? That might be enough to establish notability of his biography. —C.Fred (talk) 21:13, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was published by the African Heritage Magazine of Germany --Sestupinan (talk) 21:16, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He appears in the 2013 version of such list as mentioned here --Sestupinan (talk) 21:19, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've added that to the article and declined the request for speedy deletion as a result. Note that the article could still be put through the normal deletion-discussion channels. —C.Fred (talk) 21:31, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
