"Malpighiacious": Please define[edit]

"Wallflowers have malpighiacious trichomes." -- The term "malpighiacious" is apparently not defined anywhere on Wikipedia. Furthermore, Google hits for this term all appear to be clones of this Wikipedia article. -- Writtenonsand (talk) 01:12, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

-- See discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Plants#.22Malpighiacious.22:_Please_define -- Writtenonsand (talk) 11:44, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We can,t do anything about clones.In the meantime, the term has been replaced in the article, o the point is rather moot. Circeus (talk) 20:24, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's not just "malpighiacious trichomes," the entire article is studded with scientific terms that the average gardener is not going to understand and most of those don't link. I wish someone would translate this article into plain English. As it is now it reads like it's a college or grad school textbook.Risssa (talk) 04:06, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hola.

Cardiac glycosides[edit]

are mentioned in the chapter "Defensive compounds", but there is no warning in the chapter "Ethnobotanical uses of Erysimum" – I'd imagine them (these glycosides) being preeeetttyy dangerous, or am I wrong? Some lines about toxicity level and, if appropriate, a warning would be a good addition, I think — maybe someone out there has the knowledge ready? :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:3032:203:C899:C1D0:F5AC:6564:58C9 (talk) 18:34, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
