7.6 New Board Game[edit]

There's a new board game in Kickstarter mode at the moment proposed for release 2023.

Has it attracted any attention from third-party sources? DonIago (talk) 16:55, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's already in demo production. There are review videos already posted by third parties. SquashEngineer (talk) 17:47, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's not clear to me whether you mean that third-party reliable sources have discussed it, and I'm also not sure whether reviews in and of themselves really establish that the board game is significant. Are these parties that aren't primarily board gaming sites? Much as Star Trek-focused sites shouldn't be used to claim that a Star Trek novel is significant (because it would be more unusual if they didn't review the novel), I'm unsure that reviews from board gaming-focused sites establish significance for a board game. It might be best to see whether the KS delivers a final product? DonIago (talk) 19:13, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is that the criteria for a proposed game in KS? That there are verifiable interested parties that are outside the gaming community, that are adamantly talking and waiting for it? All I'm adding to the article is that there is a potential production of a game with the movie theme, in works, as far as the gaming community has reported. Otherwise, it's like denying an article on VLHC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Very_Large_Hadron_Collider, because it is no where closer than decades before being built, and is ONLY credibly discussed within the scientific community. It's a thought, an idea, that is being promoted as a possibility, and may someday exist. SquashEngineer (talk) 14:40, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'd argue in accordance with WP:NOTNEWS that if the game is ultimately published that we can discuss it then, and if the game is canceled and sources discuss it at that time, then we can share that as well, but that there's currently a KS isn't especially noteworthy. You are, of course, welcome to wait for or solicit feedback from other editors who may feel otherwise. DonIago (talk) 14:51, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Critical Response from Rotten Tomatoes[edit]

In the "Critical Response" section of these movie summaries, I don't really care what the critics rating is. I want to know the audience rating. That's what I would potentially be -- someone in the audience. I would look at the critics rating if there was no audience rating, such as before or right after the movie comes out. Rotten Tomatoes has a rating for this movie from 71 critics. But they also have a "critics" rating from 50,000+ people who saw the movie. DennyFL (talk) 15:12, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unless the audience ratings are somehow notable in and of themselves (i.e. sources have discussed them), we do not typically include them in film articles as they are not considered reliable. See MOS:FILMAUDIENCE for more information. DonIago (talk) 16:26, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
