Negative Voice in the Article[edit]
Why did the author choose the words "scheme" and "dreamed up"?
This casts a "negative voice" to the article and "paints" those involved in creating the original set of stamps as "villains". Perhaps part of Esso's motivation was to provide something special to those who love hockey?
It is also unfortunate that there was little to no coverage of how young fans enjoyed the "chase" in collecting these stamps back in the early 1970's and how older fans still treasure these memories now.
