Untitled[edit]

I've heard that Eva has once again turned away from Christianity and is back into the Occult. Can anyone verify this for me? If true, it would be nice to see her make up her mind. I renounced my Christian faith years ago, became a nontheist and have remianed such{with deist leanings} ever since. Eva O seems to be really confused. I hope she finds and STCIKS WITH the light of reason and abandons revealed religion once and for all. But anyhow, as I said I've heard this rumer that she has renounced Christianity once again and got back into the Occult. Is this true?--Iconoclastithon 19:34, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

if eva ortiz was born in 1961 that would mean shes 45 should that be included this also means she was three years older then rozz and he only was only 16 when they first met

there may be a 'factual problem' with this eva o article.

It states:

"Eventually, she got back together with Rozz, married him, and moved to San Francisco with him. While there, she became interested in the writings of Anton LaVey and Boyd Rice and started to suffer from depression and demon possessions."

Should I assume from this article that demon possessions are real as opposed to part of a belief system? Is it a proven experience? It seems that the wording of this article assumes demon possessions do exist. I was just wondering if I am being nitpicky or should this article be flagged?

Shouldn't it say she "believed herself to be demon possessed" or "this interview at such and such link states she was possessed by demons" and with a link to an article that verifies that she said she was possessed? It's just all iffy. Anyone have any opinions on this matter?

I agree. In order to remain non POV, we can't quote anything as factual unless there is direct evidence of it. If there were direct evidence it'd have been all over the news (conspiracy theories aside).
I would like to further mention that Richard Ramirez (I assume that whoever wrote this meant the nightstalker?) isn't linked but I'm loath to fix that since I've no evidence that she dated the nightstalker or that this is in fact the same Ramirez, even though the murders and the trial in SF seems to lend credence to this. Anyone have any citable sources on this one? Oddly enough, I actually know a guy who was promoting for Eva for a while, so he might know, but I don't know how to get a hold of him. --Reverend Distopia
When I first wrote started the article (my original revision included the part about Richard Ramirez), I adapted most of it from the bio section of her website. The link's already in the External links section, so that's probably taken care of. I checked a few other sources today (Google: "Richard Ramirez" + "Eva O") and found some pages that had been written before this article that say that Eva was in fact dating this Richard Ramirez at one point. [1] [2] [3] --Idont Havaname (Talk) 00:25, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article mentions a Youtube video circa 2014, Eva O returning to Christianity and recording O'Holy Night with Eric Clayton. needing revision[edit]

It's certainly not true that Eva came to believe in Chrisitianity "all on her own." Her now estranged husband, Alan Clayton, whom was an avid fan of death rock while also a Christian, tried in vain to convert Rozz having somewhat befriended him the last few years of his life. Apparently he had an impact on Eva, as they married and had a child after Rozz's death. However, Eva never seems to mention (in her web persona at least) of any ex-husband or daughter. Strange.

I think her daughter is mentioned in the bio on her official website; I don't recall her husband being mentioned there, however. --Idont Havaname (Talk) 03:25, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Alan Clayton used to have his own website, as well as some very short connection to the band Godscare, but from what i gathered he's not involved with the goth scene at all anymore. Should this information be mentioned in the bio if Eva and Alan both seem so quiet on it? Seems like it may be pretty private. --Adrift* 22:20, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted all references to Eva O and Rozz Williams being of the Christian belief, there seems to be no evidence what so ever to support these, for want of a better word allegations. I think it is obvious why this was included, so as to bring disrepute to gothic musicians otherwise renowned for thier anti-christian stand point hence the very name Christian Death really...--Spectral Delight 21:37, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do feel that this page needs to be rewritten with more citations/references. Much of the history for both musicians is lacking here. This information was all sourced; someone had deleted the external links to the interviews. It is not "propaganda"; she said it herself in the interviews. Eva O's contributions to Only Theater of Pain?[edit]

The article states, "Eventually Eva O contributed to the band's 1982 album Only Theatre of Pain, which was a highly influential album on the emerging American deathrock movement." The article linked to in the footnote says, "O. supplied the female backing vocals on Christian Death's debut album, Only Theatre of Pain." On what OTOP songs specifically is Eva O supposed to have sung? I just listened to that album recently over a good set of headphones and I didn't hear any "female backing vocals."
