This article has been renamed from Every Second Counts (game show) to Every Second Counts (UK game show) as the result of a move request.

The result of the proposal was - unopposed move to clarify article content. Keith D (talk) 21:38, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the purposes of unconfusing disambiguation, I propose the following:

  1. That this page be moved to Every Second Counts (UK game show)
  2. That the page Every Second Counts (game show) be made into a simple disambiguation page with the following content:
The game show Every Second Counts screens in two countries:

The disambiguation template goes here

Provided that the main disambiguation page Every Second Counts does not link to the new Every Second Counts (game show), but rather to the individual pages as present, since there are not that many links anyway. Therefore, the new page Every Second Counts (game show) would be only for those that have the foresight to type in the disambiguation clarifier, but didn't realise there were two.

The rationale is to remove the confusion arising from the current arrangement; namely, that there can be a page called "game show" that isn't about the US game show when they are clearly both game shows.

I consider this to be uncontroversial but also that there may be a good reason for the current arrangement, and for that reason, I give notice here. In the absence of opposition before 10:00 on 10 September 2008 (UTC) (seven days) I will assume I can consider the move uncontroversial and therefore press ahead. (If there is any objection then the normal consensus principles apply.)

(The alternative, of course, would be for the UK and US pages to be merged.)

  • Neutral. Can't say I object. The UK version could be viewed as primary because it was on longer; on the other hand the US version came first. But a simpler way might be to just add a hatnote here directing to the US version, and a clarification on Every Second Counts dab page, both of which I've just now done. • Support - Uncontroversial; having never heard of either, the titles would make me think they are about the same thing. When disambiguating, it is important to also make it clear what you are disambiguating from. ~ JohnnyMrNinja 11:07, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
