Notability[edit]

A8B, you contacted me via email about how to address the {{notability}} tag but I would prefer to respond here: you can establish notability for the subject by providing citations to additional sources that are not affiliated with FK Sloboden or the Macedonian football leagues and which contain significant coverage of the team (i.e. information about its history, composition, etc., but not routine coverage that just states that Sloboden played a game against another team). You may find the essay WP:THREE helpful. signed, Rosguill talk 16:31, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for clarifying on how to fix the issue. I would like to argue that none of the citations are linked directly to FK Sloboden or the Macedonian leagues. The first one being a link to the clubs profile on the macedonianfootball website, which is a website ran by Macedonian football enthusiasts and is used as a source for almost all other teams in Macedonia and for league tables across all levels. The second citation is in regard to the sentence regarding to their name, with the website it comes from being one of many news sites in Macedonia. The third citation (which I added after your tag) is an interview with the team's president on the Macedonian TV channel Telma in which they discuss the clubs founding, name, colors and some of its players. I also would like to add that I find it odd that this page has been tagged about it's notability, but not other teams in Macedonia. Anyways, hope you can respond so we can finally sort out this issue. Best regards, A8B. A8B (talk) 17:26, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Citation #1 is a database entry of the team's statistics; this is not considered WP:SIGCOV or WP:SECONDARY coverage. What we need to see is analysis beyond the listing of statistics.
Citation #2 is not actually about the team, and was published prior to its founding.
Citation #3, as you note, is an interview with someone involved with the club; this is not a WP:SECONDARY or independent source. signed, Rosguill talk 17:35, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
