New variant not appearing[edit]

So I have Fairy-Max and am running it through WinBoard. I have edited its fmax.ini file to have a new variant that I created. It is not appearing in the Variants list in WinBoard. I tried editing the normal chess file, and when I ran WinBoard it didn't change normal chess at all, almost like it's using a different file. Am I editing the wrong file, or do I need to reset something in WinBoard, or what? PiChessMaster (talk) 02:14, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
