Page is basically destroyed...[edit]

OK, I can understand chief architect and CTO has nothing to do with his own company so anything related to him must go. Maybe... But why Hu12 had deleted my recently added HyperFS info (missing product) and then deleted whole "Products" section of the article at all? Now complete article in past looks like a stub. What's use in it? Any ideas anybody? P.S. I don't want to revert the changes myself as it's going to be between me and Hu12. Thanks! APS (Full Auto) (talk) 18:32, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Page recovered.[edit]

OK, I've recovered the page after Hu12 had basically vandalized it morphing into useless stub. I still beleive:

1) Company founders are part of its history so they should be listed. I've removed CEO's personal info however (Hu12 maybe right here).

2) Software company w/o products section looks plain stupid. Products should have at least tiny description of what they do.

3) I've added separate section "Awards" and had moved some info from "History" and also added a couple of missing events. Should this section be merged with "History" or not?

Anybody willing to a) complete founders part adding other people and b) fixing my broken English are welcomed to help :)

I've corrected APS (Full Auto) (talk · contribs)'s WP:NPOV edits, removed invalid references and cleaned up the weasle words inserted into this page by an account with a WP:COI and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/APS (Full Auto). See WikiProject Spam report

Its also useful to Inform editors that in a recent Deletion review for his own software, APS (Full Auto) has targeted this page;

  • "we'd have to remove most of software companies as they don't show notability from your point of view. Check for example FalconStor."

Some of the firsts edits to this page included defamatory towards the CEO[1][2].

1) I have relation to industry (obviously! As it's how I came on StarWind delete discussion page) but I have no relation to StarWind Software, FalconStor Software and DataCore Software I'm editing pages for right now and wish to maintain them in the future. You may put WP:COI on me and I have no problem with this but it's trivial to check my edits pattern to find out what I do and for whom and why.

2) I've just used FalconStor as an example of a very incomplete article (no info about founders, listed products are not up to date, very few links to independent sources present etc - these are FACTS). I was done with StarWind Software (before you've vandalized it reverting to old and incomplete and inaccurate version) and now I'm trying to fix FalconStor and DataCore pages adding missing information and links. You're just removing content I add telling my updates have no sense. I don't think so and we need to take this to WP:3O.

3) CEO's suicide is public info and I've personally asked you on your talk page to check FalconStor article are my edits acceptable or not. So it's kind of strange to blame me for bringing your attention and asking for help. Again trivial to check as whole history is on your talk page.

Update. Wow! You've deleted my FalconStor post asking to review the article on your Talk page but you cannot hide anything inside Wiki as everything is logged :)

Good luck :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by APS (Full Auto) (talkcontribs) 10:00, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

4) I did indeed edit Wiki from some of the listed IPs (and other ones you've missed as they don't have relation to the subject) before I've created an account. What I did is probably what most of the people do here and it's absolutely legal - editing wiki with no account and then creating and account after being asked to do so. However even w/o an account I've always signed with my nickname so people could understand who I am.

You may continue your investigation but if you'd bother to run traceroute app you'd see most of the IPs belong to 4G and ordinary cell phone operator so tracking IPs from dynamic pool just don't make any sense. The only thing you're going to see is random Wiki edit pattern by anybody not willing to register. So good luck on watching them :)

Any feedback is welcomed before I'll bring this to WP:3O we'll definitely need.

Founders, current management team and up-to-date products.[edit]

OK, after shared efforts article indeed looks much better but I still have a couple of problems with it:

1) Founders and current management team are both missing. I insist they should be here but after I've added CEO (and willing to add others) Hu12 does delete them. Why?

2) Products section is incomplete. Listed products are not up-to-date. After I'm adding missing ones (say HyperFS clustered file system) Hu12 again deletes them and reverts to an old stuff. Why?

Any feedback?

Updated those. --Hu12 (talk) 13:36, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Added VP of Research & Development (CTO?) to company title section and information about company founders to history section. I think we're done with the FalconStor profile page unless guys would create something recent. Moving to DataCore next week...APS (Full Auto) (talk) 23:14, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Tweaked the sentence about the co founders somewhat, keeping article focused on the subject. Seems a bit more appropriate to just state that they were "founders", elaborating on their various positions and job duties is handled nicely in the bloomberg profile references you added. Nice additions, it Looks good AK. ;)--Hu12 (talk) 00:35, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
