Hardscrabble[edit]

I have seen LIRR maps with BOTH Farmingdale & Hardscrabble just a bit further east (Suffolk) --JimWae (talk) 23:39, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

East Farmingdale in lede[edit]

Who lives in Farmingdale? According to the US Post Office at http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/citytown.jsp EAST FARMINGDALE, NY is not an acceptable addresses - USE FARMINGDALE

East Farmingdale is in a different Town AND a different COUNTY from the Village of Farmingdale. Noting in the lede other adjoining places that also go by the name of Farmingdale reduces confusion about what counts as "Farmingdale"; it disambiguates by giving other applications of the same location. --JimWae (talk) 18:35, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate Location[edit]

This village has coordinates (in both infobox and geography section) that point to a location in Suffolk County, while the first section says it is in Nassau County. In which county is this village located? What are the correct coordinates? NewYorkeruser (talk) 00:51, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The village is definitely in Nassau County. It has an eastern border with Suffolk County. The Farmingdale postal & school districts do include East Farmingdale CDP, which is entirely in Suffolk County. I will let you figure out the co-ordinates - I do not find them very useful anyway and they often get in the way of the text.--JimWae (talk) 00:58, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Besides, 40° 44′ 0″ N, 73° 26′ 42″ W is in Nassau County --JimWae (talk) 09:25, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The village is in Nassau County.

Farmingdale College is not in the Village of Farmingdale[edit]

Farmingdale State College is in East Farmingdale (in Suffolk County) – not the Village of Farmingdale (in Nassau County). AITFFan1 (talk) 19:34, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
