Citation Concerns[edit]

I started cleaning up citations by converting the weird way The NY Times story was referenced and replacing repeated cites by reusing one link to the reference. But some of the information in the article that has inline citations is not actually contained in the citation. As an example, there’s some discussion of Rep Coble and boat hulls that is followed by an in-line citation. BUT the inline citation mentions neither Coble nor boat hulls. It may be in another reference or it may be something that an editor knew about but had no reference for. It would be worth going through the article comparing the in line citations with the article contents to see what matches. Perhaps there’s another reference somewhere that can verify the Coble / boat hull content. There’s also an inline citation backing the statement that in 2013 there was another attempt to pass legislation but the citation links to something written in 2006.

Generally, this article needs work. MarylandGeoffrey (talk) 22:47, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
