Mitchell[edit]

The article originally described this character as "A wheelchair-bound man and the adoptive brother of Sarah." @Thatmerrywanderer changed it to "A man who uses a wheelchair and the adoptive brother of Sarah." linking in the edit summary to Wikipedia:WikiProject Disability/Style advice#Assistive devices, which explains that the phrase "wheelchair-bound" should be avoided. This change was reverted by @Alex 21 because it's bad grammar ("A man who uses ... the adoptive brother..."), Thatmerrywanderer tried "The adoptive brother of Sarah. He uses a wheelchair." with the edit summary "If you have a problem with this grammar as well, please offer suggestions on how to phrase it that don't involve using offensive language" but @Tobi999tomas reverted without an explanation. I restored Thatmerrywanderer's second attempt with a more detailed explanation in the edit summary. Tobi999tomas has now changed it to "The adoptive brother of Sarah who uses a wheelchair." but that leaves open the interpretation that Sarah is the person who uses the wheelchair. Is there a way to phrase this that suits all parties?-gadfium 01:19, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I see the problem with my first wording attempt. Not quite sure what the issue is with the second one, although I could assume it's because the sentences seemed too sparse? Janis' entry above has similarly terse sentences. Other options that come to mind are "A wheelchair-using man who is Sarah's adoptive brother" or "A wheelchair-using man and the adoptive brother of Sarah.", which I don't love but would be better than "wheelchair-bound"; describing Wendell in ways that aren't entirely based on his wheelchair use and his relationship to another character, so that the sentences seem more full, which would be even better; and "A man who uses a wheelchair. He is Sarah's adoptive brother." which I assume would have the same concerns as my second wording attempt. Any solution that doesn't involve the use of the term "wheelchair-bound" is fine with me. Stop using TV Series Finale[edit]

I've already stated how TV Series Finale is a fan site and doesn't always have accurate numbers as compared to other reliable sources. Yet people here keep adding it back. Just because you have been relying on someone for long for info does not make it reliable. In addition, it's not like ratings for one episode is very important to add.
