Puerto Rican of German descent?[edit]

No. I removed this as he isn't of German descent, just German. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.45.192.248 (talk) 22:12, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he is German, however he is also half Puerto Rican on his father side, like it or not and as such he is condered as a Puerto Rican by blood by the people of Puerto Rico. Wikipedia is about facts and not about what we like or dislike. Your removal of information or wikilinks from this page may be considered as vandalism. If you need prove, here it is: Univision, Mundial Alemania, Big Soccer and so on. Tony the Marine (talk) 23:09, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He is only considered Puerto Rican by 15 football fans here. The article "German inmigration to Puerto Rico" is about descendants of Germans who immigrated to Puerto Rico, Magath's mother did not immigrate to Puerto Rico, his father just fucked her while stationed in Germany. He is half Puerto Rican and half German, not a Puerto Rican of German descent.

  • You are entitled to your personal opinion and your point of view, but just in case you don't know or you don't understand Wikipedia policy, there are reliable verifiable sources which proof you wrong. For your information "La Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol" (The Puerto Rican Soccor Federation) stated the following in Spanish:

"Los dirigidos por el "Boricua" Félix Magath tomaron la delantera en el partido cuando Angelos Haristeas, defensa del Nuremberg, inexplicablemente y sin presión alguna cabeceo el balón en su propia portería para un auto gol."[1]

In case you don't know the term "Boricua" referers to "Puerto Rican", so much for the 15 fans. Magath himself has made it public in the Puerto Rican newspaper, El Vocero, that he is proud of his Puerto Rican heritage, so who are you to say otherwise? You should have taken the same time that you took to write what you wrote in this page, to have read that the section in the article which you are referring to clearly states:

"The following is a list of notable Puerto Ricans or people of Puerto Rican descent with German surnames. This list also includes people of Puerto Rican and German descent born in the United States and Germans who adopted Puerto Rico as their homeland as well."

Another thing, keep your dirty words and profanity to yourself. This is an encyclopedia which is publicly read by people of all ages and such actions will not be tolerated. Next time sign your comments. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:08, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious Information[edit]

Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:11, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Dubious information[edit]

I have checked these numbers against what I consider to be a reliable source, fussballdaten.de, and I find that they do indeed check out. The link to this source had already been been added in the external links, but noted the source in the data box as well. fussballdaten.de does provide the ability to view data on a game by game basis for the Bundesliga, giving one the ability to verify such data, and it does separate national team and Bundesliga statistics. It does not show domestic cup data in the player profiles as far as I can tell.

getting sacked?[edit]

hooray, Magath might be getting fired from the FC Bayern coaching position. my friend told me it was in the Bild and Suddeutche zeitung, but as my German is non-existant, can someone please add the reference or expand on this please.
