I am in the throes of producing articles on the villages of West Sussex and am first checking against those that exist. My aim is to have the same sort of information as a base - so I have included information about the parish as well as the village as a beginning to each article. This article did seem a little chatty - "or at least in the 1980s, when I lived there" is not the Wiki style for example. It also seemed a pity that more of the Fernhurst Society facts could have been included, so I have done that. Peter Shearan 07:10, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ribbentrop[edit]

What evidence is there that Ribbentrop lived in Fernhurst? A Voysey house, with a name such as Chains and posts, or similar.SovalValtos (talk) 15:47, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you mean Joachim von Ribbentrop, I haven't seen any mention of this. I know he hoped to retire to Cornwalll....Tony Holkham (talk) 10:41, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes indeed Joachim von Ribbentrop, the secondhand Champagne salesman. OAKHURST.
Now known as 'Ropes and Bollards'. http://www.fernhurstsociety.org.uk/oralhistory/memories18.html. I am not up to adding this, even if suitable.SovalValtos (talk) 18:12, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Taken the liberty of reformatting your last entry for ease of reading. I'll add the info to the article so you can see how it's formatted. However, I'm not sure how acceptable the reference is as it's not attributed to anyone. We'll see how it fares. Cheers, Tony Holkham (talk) 19:50, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
