Name sorting

I see his name seems to generally be given with a capital D: Filippo De Filippi so, reading WP:MCSTJR (who thought up those letters?) Generally, ... Italian, ... names do not include lowercase particles in sorting, but do include uppercase particles. For example, ... Alberto Di Chiara is sorted {{DEFAULTSORT:Di Chiara, Alberto}}. However, I've no idea whether the people who make up these rules do it on any authority other than their own. Thincat (talk) 09:30, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
