Reversion[edit]

It wasn't reverted by accident, it was reverted because of one or two factual inaccuracies. Escaper2007

I'm in the process of citing the original act (now I've found it), yes I had incorrectly stated that the act applied to Northern Ireland when it never. Escaper2007

Repeals[edit]

While the 2004 Act repealed the 1947 Act, that Act extended only to England and Wales and thus had no effect on the status of the 1947 Act in Scotland. The later 2005 Act in Scotland did not repeal the 1947 Act in its entirity, the sections dealing with the Firemen's Pension scheme remain in force.
