What to include?[edit]

Should this article be restricted to legislation with the exact name "Firearms Act" (in which case we need a "List of civilian [firearms?] weapons laws" or some such, there doesn't seem to be one unless I've missed it), or should it include civilian weapons laws regardless of name? An inclusive list should include other legislation with civilian arms regulation provisions, such as the Bill of Rights. Pol098 (talk) 14:24, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This list should probably be confined to Acts that have the word "firearms" in their short title or collective title. James500 (talk) 16:01, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Can I also point out that there may be an element of original research involved in the way that any legislation related to weapons is now being added to this article. James500 (talk) 15:50, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can see, the book by Warlow describes the legislation listed on pages 11 to 12 as "weapons legislation", rather than as Firearms Acts. They are included in a chapter titled "firearms legislation and" etc, but I think it might be WP:SYNTH to infer that they are firearms legislation from that, bearing in mind the subtitle.
