On 7 April 2022, it was proposed that this article be moved from Five per Cent for Nothing to Five Per Cent for Nothing. The result of the discussion was moved.

Does the lead really need to be this long?[edit]

From MOS:INTRO: "The lead section should briefly summarize the most important points covered in an article in such a way that it can stand on its own as a concise version of the article." I usually write four-graf intros because, well, I usually write articles that in-depth.

I consolidated the middle two grafs. At present we need to keep the stuff about Flynn because it's part of the DYK hook (and part of the story of the song that ought to be summarized in the intro, because that's how it gets its title). - FWIW I'm the one who moved it to "Five per Cent for Nothing" (from "Five Per Cent For Nothing") and changed the article text to match. After a discussion with the article writer on the DYK nom page and on my talk page I agreed that per should probably be capitalized. I suppose I should ping him (@Daniel Case:).   - When I created it I titled it "Five Per Cent For Nothing", as that's how it's spelled on the initial releases of the album IIRC (certainly on the cassette sleeves). It seems that the current title styling comes from how Virgil Howe styled it on his Yes Remixes album, a semi-official project, five years ago, and some recent band uses, as DIA notes at the DYK discussion, have done it that way as well. But the Soundcloud page, also an official band page, spells it the 1971 way.
    I agree this might be better off resolved through a formal RM, but I would ask that we wait for that until after it has appeared on DYK. Daniel Case (talk) 01:37, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
