Local Myth

Flamborough became renowned for its local forest, Daynes Dyke, in the 1960's. A local man was discovered deceased in the vast expanse of trees. Local children claim to see his ghost stalking the woods in the winter months, however no substantial evidence has ever been found to his spectres existence.

This user has a history of vandalism, so I'm moving this to the talk page. Perel 01:12, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article content[edit]

Hi,

this article feels like it has very little about Flamborough in it and rather a lot about a couple of relatively recent 'events' which are described as if in an opinion piece in a local paper. Also the language used is not really appropriate, and the views expressed could not be described as representing all parties. It does not feel at all factual and seems to be well below the level of what one would expect from Wikipedia.

The sorts of things I would expect to find are details of the bays/ landings and their previous uses. The fact that the lifeboat for example has gone from North to South, that they have just got a new super fast one.. something about the lighthouse (the lamp pivots on a layer of mercury which is a couple of milimetres thick, for instance).. some proper historical information about Danes Dyke...

I don't know much about Flamborough or I'd have a go, but someone surely must be able to put something more appropriate up..? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mandyw (talkcontribs) 6:46, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
