The breakup story[edit]

I heard this story from a guy I know. He used to work as crew for Flaw. He said they broke up because Christ Volz is an alcoholic and was drunk at a show when Ryan Jurhs the bassist started to play the song 'Whole'. Volz said it was the wrong song but the playlist confirmed it was right. But in his drunken state he punched the bassist in the face and a fistfight broke out. The bassist then vowed to never go on stage with chris again and the band broke up. I don't know if this is worthy enough to put on the article. However, it does explain why they suddenly broke up and shows were canceled. I have made some changes to enforce the neutrality of the page,in the Dissolution of Flaw part, the basic message is still there but I changed some of the sentences slightly as it seemed they were stating as a fact both that Universal ignored Flaw in favor of Godsmack which can not be confirmed beyond rumour and that Flaw was a "multi-facited cash-cow" which is hard to say since they were relatively well received but after all were dropped. Someone apparently either felt it necessary to add that back in or it floated by in a reversion of vandalism. Either way, I've removed it for a second time. I agree that it seems highly unsubstantiated in regard to possible favoritism that Universal might have shown with one band over the other, much less passing over promoting either band less than they should have for interlinked reasons. I will try to remove some of the most biased sentances from the site but somebody else should take a look too in case I miss something or word it incorrectly. I am going to remove any mention that they were "pushed into the nu metal genre" since 1) when I last checked their website, long time ago I admit, it said they were and Aggro-metal band which is widely considered the same thing. 2) the article itself states that they are Nu metal and an article shouldn't contradict itself.Alex 17:09, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know where else to write this but a person has attempted to justify a fake story using this band by editing in a fake person named Ben Cannon into the band. This explains the edit at approximately 16:59 or so. Please ignore that temporary edit. Former members[edit]

I was a big fan of flaw while they were together, and have done extensive research on them, and have found no references anywhere to "Tommy Wright" ever having anything to do with the band. Because of this, i am deleting him from the page, if anyone cna find any evidence of hin being in the band at some point, then by all means post it and put him back into the article.--69.213.152.186 09:51, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So this is Jay Daunt’s wife. Tommy Write was the very first drummer..Ivan took his spot. Tommy actually played the first few shows with Flaw

This band is the most important subject with the name apparently, unless you can think of a more notable subject. And the band is not as obscure as you think, they played at ozzfest, were signed to Universal Records, and the members have gone unto other bands.--Leon Sword 21:34, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My thoughts are that flaw shouldn't be this article, and that it should be at Flaw (band). Flaw might be best served as a dab page with wiktionary links. Flaws can be in a design, in a smooth surface, in a logical argument. that's what people think of when they hear "flaw". the article on Relational databases had a link to flaw. Genre[edit]

Couldn't help but notice that the article makes no mention of the band being alternative metal. True their early works were nu metal but Endangered Species is a great example of alternative metal. Anyone disagree? --Leon Sword 21:34, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reunion[edit]

Complete rewrite[edit]

Alright, this article has been a complete mess for a long time, and I've finally started working on cleaning it up some. (Here's what it once looked like for future reference.)

Anyways, the band appears to have gone through a ton of drama between 2005 and 2013. Does anyone have any third party, reliable sources on it? The only things I can find reliable sources for, is basically things related to Five.Bolt.Main and Volz's solo album. If no good sources can be found or provided, I'll be doing a massive cut in that era, as on Wikipedia, we need to go by what can be verified by reliable sources. Any input is welcome. How is it still a complete mess? It's been since rewritten, and there's only like one "citation needed" claim left, and that's just because I literally can't find a source for Arny leaving, but it seems pretty certain that it happened, so it doesn't make sense to just remove it either. Regardless, you're free to "fix" it yourself, as long as you're not using Wikipedia as a means of self-promoting your electronic music stuff. Sergecross73 msg me 01:25, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Band membership[edit]

Please only add if you have a reliable source to verify it. While this may be easily found with other bands, in my experience, it's been harder to track with this band, since 1) they've largely been out of the public eye in the last decade and 2) they shuffle the bands lineup all the time. It certainly should not be in the lead if it's unsourced, and I'm not sure it does even if it is, as it's constantly fluctuating and consisting of non-notable musicians unrecognizable to the average general reader.
