Hunter in 1988
Hunter in 1988
  • ... that the Duchess of Windsor enjoyed Flora Mae Hunter's (pictured) cooking so much, she gained weight on her visits to the plantation where Hunter worked? Source: "The Duke and Duchess of Windsor were guests three or four times, Mrs. Hunter recalled. The Duchess once complained to Mrs. Hunter not about her cooking, but about the three pounds the Duchess had gained while staying at the plantation" (Tallahassee Democrat)
    • ALT1:... that Flora Mae Hunter (pictured) cooked her whole career on wood-burning stoves? Source: When visiting the plantation after retirement, "Mrs. Hunter said she was "really lost for awhile" in the plantation kitchen because the two wood-burning stoves she had used during her years there had been replaced by a gas oven." (Tallahassee Democrat)

  • The article itself is fine with a copyvio score of 23.7%, hook being sourced, reliable sources and a decent size. QPQ has been completed properly, though you should use 5x expanded instead of moved to mainspace since the article was made separate in April and as for the hook, add an ALT for the first one mentioning Flora Mae Hunter first so readers are more likely to click on her: something like "... that Flora Mae Hunter's cooking was enjoyed so much by the Duchess of Windsor that she gained weight on her visits to the plantation Hunter worked at?" --K. • Thanks, Kyle Peake, for this review and the proposed hook; it’s definitely preferable to mention Hunter first so I’ll break that out below and strike the others. Just FYI I worked the article up in draft space and moved it to main in this edit on July 25. But I see now it’s true it would have also qualified as 5x, if it had already been in mainspace.
ALT0a:... that Flora Mae Hunter's (pictured) cooking was enjoyed so much by the Duchess of Windsor that she gained weight on her visits to the plantation where Hunter worked?
Thanks again. Innisfree987 (talk) 17:21, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is a lot better now with ALT0a and thanks for the full context, thank you a lot for the timely response and giving me the pride of approving this! --K. Peake 09:32, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
