"not a favorite among audiences"?[edit]

This is definitely WP:TRUE, but as it appears in the article it is unsourced, and the preceding paragraph just refers to original broadcast ratings (which couldn't possibly be based on audience opinions, as they hadn't seen it yet). Rewatch statistics from streaming services, if such exist, would be interesting and useful, but wouldn't more information on the audience reaction based on reliable sources (reviews like James Rolfe's that say "I like this episode, even though I know a lot of you don't") be needed to support the claim that's currently in the article? @User:Hijiri88 Removed that info. Dunno what reliable sources regarding initial audience reception would be appropriate since critical reception is usually the standard. Audience reception is as positive as critical reception now anyway Stephanie921 (talk) 03:32, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Budget restrictions?[edit]

"Fly" was produced as a result of the series' considerable budgetary restrictions and being unable to afford the $25,000–$35,000 needed to move the production trucks to a new location.

So this states that the budget meant that they couldn't afford to "move the trucks". This makes some sense... I guess... but... the show was shot primarily on soundstages, including the lab set. The citation states:

The third-season episode “Fly” is a product of budgetary constraints.“We were hopelessly over budget,” said Gilligan, noting that moving production trucks to a new location costs $25,000 to $35,000. “And we needed to come up with what is called a bottle episode, set in one location.”

But it makes no sense to me that the reason this was shot in one location was because they couldn't afford to move the trucks; the set for the lab and the sets for the house, etc. are 10 feet from each other. Production designer Mark Freeborn describes this here and here. It seems like this is a case of WP:CONFLICTING (but maybe I'm leaning too far into WP:OR to suggest that video disputes the Johnson quote). Anyways at least wanted to make a note of this discrepancy.
