GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the Critical reception section, "...and provided hints of Cyrus's future musical direction" ---> "...and provided hints of Cyrus' future musical direction". Same section, this ---> "...Sal Cinquemani of the online Slant Magazine", doesn't quite make sense. In the Chart performance section, "...the next week" replace "next" with "following", has better wording. Same section, "...the song ascended to number sixteen and became Cyrus's second best charting single in the United Kingdom" ---> "...the song ascended to number sixteen and became Cyrus' second best charting single in the United Kingdom." In the Live performances section, "The set, with some songs by Cyrus's father" ---> "The set, with some songs by Cyrus' father". Same section, there's too much repetition of "Cyrus", maybe have a consistency. Same section, "Fly on the Wall" is one of the songs on the set list of Cyrus's first international concert tour" ---> "Fly on the Wall" is one of the songs on the set list of Cyrus' first international concert tour".

    Check.
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
Throughout the article, please link "first person" and "plaid" to their correspondence articles. In the Critical reception section, the Heather Phares' quote about the song being a "G-rated version of Britney Spears' "Toxic", is the quote together with the addition of "Toxic"? If so, it needs to be ---> "Heather Phares of Allmusic said the song was a "G-rated version of Britney Spears' 'Toxic'". In the Chart performance section, "...the week ending March 18 at number fifty seven", "fifty seven" ---> "fifty-seven". In the Live performances section, please link "See You Again", "Breakout", "7 Things", and "The Climb" once.
Linked plaid with its corresponding page, corrected the quote and Austria position, and linked all songs once in the Live performances section. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 22:29, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Check.
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
Reference 27 shouldn't be in all capitals, per here. Reference 29 is dead, per here. Also, something seems wrong with Ref. 41. You might want to add accessdates to Refs. 26 and 28.
    Solved. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 21:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Check.
    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
If the statements above can be answered, I will pass the article. Good luck with improving this article!

Thank you to Ipodnano for getting the stuff I left at the talk page, because I have gone off and placed the article as GA. Congrats. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 16:25, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
