Improvements[edit]

This article requires a number of improvements to bring it up to date. Specifically:

1. The writing needs to be brought to a professional standard, including grammar and spelling errors.

2. A section on the artist's social activism through music needs to be added.

3. A reorganization of the article would help with the flow of information. For example, information about the artist's formative years could be placed earlier in the article to highlight how those years shaped both his music and his social activism.
