To the editors of Foras in Wikipedia,

I would like to appeal to you to please consider using an alternate name for your entry (Forcas perhaps?). I have recently opened a landscape design business called Foras Studio. When we selected the name in March, our research certainly did not mention this figure in demonology.

It is not my wish to obscure your entry, but I prefer not being associated with demonology considering the nature of our business, where image perception is crucial to prospective clients.

Thank you for considering my request.

I fully sympathise with you: it must be annoying to discover that the name of your business has connotations which you would not wish. However, Wikipedia policy is that we do not change, suppress, or recast information to reflect the wishes or interests of individuals or companies. The fact is that the word "Foras" does have this meaning, and the Wikipedia article records the fact. Wikipedia policy is that the title of an article is the form of the name most usually recognised in English. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:43, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I debate your assertion that the demonology term is the most usually recognized use of Foras in English, and will pursue that argument. Thank you for your response.
