  • Second, the article is promotional in tone, which is not allowed. Please take a look at WP:ADVERT -- an article can describe the company and what it's done, but not promote it.

Google is also a customer[edit]

if you look at google streetview you can have a look into their datacenters and you can find plenty of force 10 switches there... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.206.99.89 (talk) 20:00, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nice that there is an external/official source for that as G didn't allow Dell to use them publically as reference customer. But if they show the products themselves on their own product (Streetview). Tonkie (talk) 02:23, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rebranding of all network products to Dell Networking[edit]

Dell has decided to re-brand their networking products (PowerConnect and Force10 to Dell Networking. Nearly all current Powerconnect models will keep their current name/numbering and the same applies to most F10 products as the new naming convention closely reflects the old F10 naming convention: Dell (single letter) (4 digit code): thus Dell Z9000, S4810, S5000, E1200 etc. (only S25/S50/S55/S60 will require new names or go EOS and same for C-series (C300/C600) en E600 model.

Due to this many of the Dell references used in this article (technical specification etc) have a new URL. To address the re-branding and new URL's for the existing portfolio I will merge the content of the articles on F10 and PCT to Dell Networking page and use there the new URL's.

Once this 'merging, checking or URL's and updating' is completed I will remove this page and redirect to Dell Networking (or change the content to only address the legacy switches). Anyone feeling the urge to assist me on this: please do. Also feel free to discuss this with me via my talk page to avoid doing double work. Thanks, Tonkie (talk) 19:27, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How about leaving this one around, but reworking into past tense to give the history instead of a litany of product specs? Specs will always be more up to date on the company site when the Wikipedia reads the page some time in the future, while these will be guaranteed to get out of date at some point. Also even if "you know" things, they need to be verifiable through some independent source. Especially it is not acceptable to make statements of the future. See WP:NOTCRYSTAL.
