Force of law[edit]

Force of law redirects to here, but is not discussed in any detail. If "force" has two meanings, then the two should be given appropriate weight in the article Scolaire (talk) 13:00, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]


Reasonable force[edit]

UK law, at least, includes a concept of 'reasonable force' which I don't think would be covered by the meanings given here. Arresting officers are allowed to use 'reasonable force', for example, and there's a right to use 'reasonable force' to prevent certain classes of other potential offences... --Oolong (talk) 17:32, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
