Picture is labeled with the wrong year[edit]

The picture of the blue truck appears to be either a 64 with a replacement grill, or a 65 with a replacement bed. The bed for a 65 should have the flare over the wheel extended to the taillights, and the one in the pic is the 61-4 style.

Picture is labeled with wrong year is absolutely correct . The grille and the connector above the grille ( with the park lights in it ) are 1965 ,the rest of the truck is probably 1962 or 63 . the hood and front fenders are correct for 1961 to 1964 . The box is a 1962 or 63 Heavy Duty box ,not a 1964 box . Boxes fit 1964 to 1966 Wheel bases for short boxes were 114 inches from 1961 to 1966 . Wheel bases for long boxes (F-100 and F-250)4X2 s only were 122 for 1961 to 1963 ,in 1964 the 4X2 wheel base went to 128 inches ,so the previous boxes didn't fit ,this applies to both Flareside and Styleside pickups . 4X4 s had 120 inch wheelbase only from 1961 to 1965 ,in 1966 they went to 4X2 wheelbase (128 inches) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎Vintage Tin 1946 ! Transmission[edit]

There is zero information in the article about what kind(s) of transmission were available/standard for any of the model years covered by this article. Not even a passing reference like “remained the same from the previous model”. Alehanro999 (talk) 11:14, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
