Johnny Edwards (ex band member) = John Edwards US Senator?

The link directs to John Edwards, US Senator. Under John Edwards (disambiguation), there doesn't seem to be a listing that fits this John Edwards.--Anchoress 13:37, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

The Discography section needs some clarification

I think that it should be split in sections since right now compilations and live albums are mixed with studio albums.--Lashiec 18:32, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Kelly Hansen merger proposal

  • Merge if nothing changes in a few days. The page is new, but there's no content that's not on the band page. --Chaser 02:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
i think there should be a separate article for kelly hansen. Gringo300 09:41, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Foreigner Urgent album.jpg

Image:Foreigner Urgent album.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:24, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Some holes need fixing

"1980 brought personnel changes so that now the band was a quartet and Rick Wills played bass." Who left, why, and who is Rick Wills?

2007 - the 30th anniversary

If the band was formed on 1976, that would actually be 31 years, wouldn't it? 77.126.152.38 (talk) 18:36, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Foreigner flacks are on this page

Wikipedia ain't your press release spot: "Guitar-gustful, percussion-soaked "Too Late," with vocals from Lou Gramm sound-alike lead Kelly Hansen, forges persuasive rock production from Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Def Leppard) with a pop hook courtesy of co-writer Oliver Lieber (who made Paula Abdul a star). The combo of rock cred and singalong melodic mastery —with a decidedly playful instrumental template —gives Foreigner potential to pen a millennial chapter"????? GTFO.

I've tagged this page with "peacock words", it was taken down; clearly whoever took it down has something to hide. So I put it back up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.233.118.68 (talk) 00:10, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Why no mention of Ian Lloyd!

Straight out of wikipedia....As a backup singer, Lloyd worked with numerous major recording artists, most notably Foreigner, who used Lloyd's vocals on hits like "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Waiting for a Girl Like You," "Juke Box Hero" and "Double Vision."

Genre

I think we should just go with what Allmusic says for the genre. Woknam66 (talk) 17:53, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Allmusic is (usually) considered a reliable source, but it uses genre in a very different way from practice on Wikipedia. Having all the genres means that they use means having rather a lot and the guidelnes for infoxes basically say keep it simple and general.--SabreBD (talk) 18:06, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
I think we should add Arena rock since Allmusic specifically mentions Foreigner on their Arena rock page. Woknam66 (talk) 19:37, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Except that it is less than clear that Arena rock is actually a genre. Allmusic interpret the idea of genre very loosely.--SabreBD (talk) 19:43, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Citations and sections

Some material here needs citations and I will try to find some, but if anyone can come across a citation, then please put it in. Now, I think this article needs some sections. Maybe someone has some ideas for sections like initial mainstream success and etc. Happymeal33 (talk) 21:45, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Out of place reference to film

"I Want to Know What Love Is," written by Mick Jones, a gospel-inspired ballad backed by the New Jersey Mass Choir.[5][6][7] Ramone sings a small clip from it in Happy Feet 2.[8] The song was their biggest US hit.

So what? The pointless reference to Happy Feet 2 should be moved to a "References in popular culture" section or removed entirely, it's out of place there. 24.232.66.185 (talk) 13:54, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Of course, you're right. I did not see that before. It's removed. --Musdan77 (talk) 18:23, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Alive & Rockin'? Feels Like The First Time (Deluxe Edition)?

Where are those albums here in wikipedia? It needs to be updated! --Workalot (talk) 18:38, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Watson now permanent

At the concert last night in Hanau, after introducing Bruce Watson, Jones said that he is now a permanent member of Foreigner. Please update the text and timeline! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.29.76.37 (talk) 09:19, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

Wrong Bruce Watson

The Wikipedia link goes to Bruce Watson from Big Country, who is a different bloke! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.29.76.37 (talk) 20:23, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

He doesn't seem to have an article. I'll remove the links. DLManiac (talk) 21:33, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Unreferenced issue

The first part is not even verifiable and just a story, which is in line with most in this category. So is there a relaxation of the rules when it applies to bands?--MattyMetalFan (talk) 15:55, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Needs more sources

There is an awful lot of unsourced material in this article. It has been tagged accordingly. SunCrow (talk) 05:33, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
