Duopoly?[edit]

Wouldn't a duopoly be a situation where only two companies own all the TV stations in a particular market? In this article it seems to be used to refer to a situation where FTSG is central-casting two stations from the same facility, regardless of how many other companies are in the market. If this is some sort of industry lingo, I think it should be defined. It strikes me as being POV, as a very loaded word. IEdML 17:56, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the US usage of the term is confusing in this respect. The term twinstick is used outside the US for this reason, but American broadcasters are prone to use "duopoly" in this manner. --66.102.80.212 (talk) 19:54, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also Variety is reporting that the 7 stations that Sinclair has divested to fox are

Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.

Support. Some pages and a FOX press release capitalize "Group", but they also uncapitalize it so it may be a matter of confusion about the proper noun. "Inc." is in more prevalent use especially officially. Category:Fox Television Stations Group should be an uncontroversial rename after this is moved. –Pomte 14:30, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:FTSI.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

NewsNOW from Fox[edit]
