order of items, and other MOSDAB issues[edit]

In this edit, an editor removed a bunch of items from this dab page, and reorganized the rest. I restored the previous version and edited further.

It is okay/good under disambiguation page guidelines to use a sensible order, such as ordering by country and in the U.S. by state then city. It seems unhelpful to reorganize into a strict alphabetical order that ignores that, when most readers will know roughly where is the place they are looking for. They will want to look up within a geographic ordered list.

Also, a bunch of NRHP-listed items were simply deleted. That is unhelpful. I restored them. Please don't do that. Thanks! --doncram (talk) 15:29, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Those were lost again. I restored the state then city or town order, and the supporting bluelinks again. Ordering by city is silly, for United States entries. Mixing the Toronto one in amongst the U.S. ones is silly, too! The supporting bluelinks for redlink items are required by MOSDAB guidelines. Un-explained redlink items on a dab page are subject to removal. There have been edits which made some improvements since those features were lost, and I will try to re-implement those improvements, have tagged the article Under Construction for the moment. --doncram (talk) 15:14, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I removed two unsupported items from the dab page:
which are both redlinks currently. Per guidelines, see MOS:DABRL, these items are not valid on a dab page. Please either create articles for them, or form a properly supported item with a bluelink to another page showing the same redlink in context. Note for the NRHP-listed items that are redlinks, a supporting page can be a county NRHP list-article showing information about the place. --doncram (talk) 15:20, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
