Trsnsphobia[edit]

The accusation that Barber has a "history of abusive behavior and transphobia on social media" is very likely defamatory unless it is backed up. Gender critical beliefs are now legally protected in the UK following recent rulings, most notably in the Employment Appeal Tribunal in Forstater v Center for Global Development Europe and Others. Edit warring over JK Rowling's views[edit]

The article has been repeatedly edited to change the descriptions of both the nature of the response to JK Rowling's views and those views themselves. I suggest that we stick with the actual language used in the cited source from The Scotsman, which refers to them as "abuse and death threats" and "comments on gender identity" respectively. The source also says that Rowling "vehemently denies she is transphobic". Given that Rowling's gender-critical views are protected in law it is likely to be discriminatory to describe them as "transphobic" - it is certainly not NPOV to do so in Wikipedia's own voice. A bizarre semantic argument. "GC" views are anti-trans, and thus transphobic. This doesn't change because parts of a single case were won. Just to flag, the page was protected (which it needed to be) just after ShanaCan95's zillionth revert, inadvertently protecting their disruptive edit. I've now removed ShanaCan95's editorial comment "transphobic" per discussion on this page. Right now the page just says "her views". Happy to keep discussing here if there's a sense a consensus has not been reached. IMO "her views", "her views on transgender issues" or "her comments on gender identity" are all fine and meet NPOV.
