Hi Sarah! Your outline looks really good so far. You may have already been thinking about these, but I just wanted to add a few things that might be important to include/elaborate on:
– Childhood influence, specifically growing up in a coal mining town, and how that impacted his style
– His view of gestural painting as a means to create physical form and presence

some missing citations
would love to see a slightly more in-depth discussion of 1-2 well-known or particularly influential works; this *would give the article depth
