2009 discussion over FMU article deletion[edit]

In 2009 deletion incentive - 'discussion' resulted with just two opinions to merge with WFMU...

...meanwhile FMA article is notable on its own. This is just to add context to this. --Zblace (talk) 08:34, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CSD[edit]

This may fall under G11 and not G4, but I don't know whether this is an exact recreation or not.

Speedy Deletion[edit]

Please do not delete, in the process of updating the page to make it fit with wikipeida's standards. Sorry!

The problem is, with the site being only 5 days old, it is very hard to indicate why that website is important or significant. Please review WP:WEB for the notability requirements for web content. If this site survives the notability criteria the please add third party references to substantiate that. Thanks. JCutter (talk) 02:49, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I contend that the site is notable for a variety of reasons 1 - It hosts 5,000 podsafe free tracks for use 2 - Has received substantive media attention from the respected news website cnet.com http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10217017-2.html and prefixmag.com http://www.prefixmag.com/news/free-music-archive-launches/27708/ 3 - Is officially associated with the New York State Music fund and free form radio station WFMU.
Alternatively, if you think this reasoning is kind of weak I would be in favor of merging this article with WFMU
