Notability[edit]

At the time of the 1820 census he owned 46 slaves.

How is this notable? These tallies are being increasingly featured in wiki pages, often sounding like a rap-sheet. I feel that the category ‘American slave owner’ should be restricted to people whose slave-owning history was notable in itself. Valetude (talk) 04:39, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
