First edition[edit]

According to InternationalBadminton.com the first edition was in 1987: The “Internationaux de France” succeeds the “l’Open de France”, which has been a satellite tournament and sanctioned by Badminton Europe (formerly EBU) from its debut in 1987 until 2005 (the latest edition). [1] If we visit the official site of this year edition, www.superseries.fr, the list of the former winners is only since 1987 too. When was the first edition then, in 1909 or in 1987?
