Former Meeting Houses?[edit]

Smallbones. It's great to see all the work you've done on this article. Thanks and congratulations!
What would you like done about demolished meeting houses (Bank Meeting House, Philadelphia Great Meeting House, etc.)? prior buildings of a meeting? or defunct meetings (Twelfth Street Meeting House)? Do you see this as eventually accommodating past meeting houses as well as present ones?
No rush, but I don't want to take things in a direction you're not comfortable with.

All of these now included are extant, though there are some that are former friends meeting houses in the sense that they now serve a different purpose. All of these have a good source, i.e. NRHP, HABS at LOC, or the HABS survey "Friend Meeting House Survey", Historic American Buildings Survey, 2002, notes used for Silent Witness, available at Friends Historic Library at Swarthmore College, and probably also at the Haverford Library and maybe at Bryn Mawr. These 3 colleges have a joint website, sometimes known as Tryptic or similar, about Quaker history. I'm working with the Swarthmore FHL and have gotten very high cooperation. We're talking about downloading Swarthmore pix from the Tri- website (as well as scanning pix) and I expect to be able to get very liberal access.

I think the George School/12th street mh would probably fit here. The HABs survey has about 10 very early non-extant mh's which might be interessting in another article. Smallbones_(smalltalk) 14:40, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I still haven't made it to the George School. I noticed that you've taken photos of some of the meeting houses that are missing images, so I'll let you choose which to use for the article.

Alphabetical order[edit]

Smallbones. Having started the Demolished Meeting House section of this article, I strongly feel that all the meeting houses should be listed in alphabetical order. Yes, I can click and change the order to that, but right now we seem to have a mixture of chronological and alphabetical, which is confusing to everyone and makes the article a pain to edit. Having started with chronological (to match) for the demolished buildings, I finally switched to alphabetical. I think it far better serves the average reader, and one can still switch to chronological with a single click.
