Olivia's mother[edit]

I changed the episodes she will appear since we now know that episodes will alternate between the alternate and our universe with the alternate universe episodes being odd numbered. Olivia's mother is dead in our universe so she cant appear in the even numbered episodes.

On a side note where is there confirmation of kirk acevedo returning for season 3. It would seem to make sense but I havent seen this anywhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.63.176.198 (talk) 06:58, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Kirk returns to play the Alternate Charlie.

Bolivia?[edit]

I'm not sure when Bolivia was used to name the alternate Olivia. I am a proponent of Fauxlivia and wishes to know where Bolivia came from. O—— The Unknown Hitchhiker 01:39, 29 September 2010 (UTC) [reply]

The article at the moment uses Bolivia in several places but without any explanation. I do not watch the show regularly and this only added to my confusion. It took a while to find it was an intentional mess rather than vandalism I might easily revert. Hopefully someone more familiar with the show can fix up the episode summaries and at least make it consitent.
As Wikipedia tries to be an encyclopedia then it is probably best to avoid the jokey "Bolivia" nickname and explain fully by using "alternate Olivia" or "alt Olivia". If "Walternate" had not been used in the show itself we'd have to avoid that too, but it at least has the advantage of being a little be more obvious as to what it means. -- Horkana (talk) 00:31, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fringe (season 2) uses Alter-Olivia - how's that? –xenotalk 03:13, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having a hard time sourcing it, but I've found a couple of things that say Bolivia is used in the scripts and J.J. Abrams used it in an interview. Like I said, can't find a hard source, but I saw that reasoning on a couple of different sites. --ptfreak (talk) 05:16, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think it may have even been used by one of the characters in the show, but I'm still swayed by Horkana's argument that "Bolivia" may just be confusing when read out-of-context. –xenotalk 15:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I watch the show regularly but when I read this article, my first thought was "Bolivia? WTF?". Please change to something that will be understood by non-viewers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.222.240.210 (talk) 08:28, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, needs to be more generalized and easily understood by non-viewers. Fauxlivia is a far superior choice to Bolivia, which last I checked was a country. -drnopants 24.165.92.67 (talk) 04:04, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Fauxlivia" doesn't make much sense to me. I think it would be way better just to write down "alternate Olivia". Everybody would know what that means. It might longer than "Bolivia", which frankly I believe is fan-made (and this isn't Fancruftepedia), but at least the non-fan would understand. -- Matthew RD 17:17, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Bolivia isn't fan-made, Fox uses it in there official recaps, see for example the "Entrada" recap. But I see you point. Xeworlebi (talk) 17:41, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't take it. Bolivia removed, replaced with Alternate-Olivia. Alternate-Broyles shows up once. --Wolfram.Tungsten (talk) 15:59, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • FYI "Fauxlivia" is now used in-show. –xenotalk 16:06, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary length/detail[edit]

I've asked the editor who tagged the page to either trim it themselves or give some examples of what might be trimmed. If they don't do so in the next few days, I will detag the article. –xenotalk 19:49, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no deadline, just because something doesn't get fixed in a couple of days doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed. The episode summaries are a little excessive and should be trimmed a bit, especially the first one. Don't remove tags becasue they have been on the page for X amount of time, remove them when the issue is resolved. Xeworlebi (talk) 20:25, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So can you help? Either directly, or by giving me some pointers on what you think is excessive? I wouldn't have included a detail if I thought it was irrelevant. –xenotalk 20:28, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fringe - Disappeared ?[edit]

When is Fringe due to return to the screen in UK?

This talk page is only for discussing improvements to the Fringe (season 3) article. --Loremaster (talk) 17:31, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DVD release date?[edit]

Anyone know when this gets released on DVD in Australia? Serithi (talk) 05:16, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Are you asking because this is information that should be put in the article? If not, please remember this talk page is only for discussing improvements to the Fringe (season 3) article. --Loremaster (talk) 17:19, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Might be a good idea to put it on the article. Serithi (talk) 04:41, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The DVD's are usually released at the end of the year, between September and December traditionally. The information will be added to this page and the main episode list page when it becomes available. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 05:06, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

3.20 title[edit]

The original source for this name is specifically J Wyman's twitter here [1]. Now, I realize that unlike other celeb accounts, this one doesn't state it is verified, which I can appreciate as a word of caution that this may be someone else. However, at least two sources confirm it as his account: [2] and [3] (in relation to this tweet [4] from the same account. So, unless these two RSs are mistaken, we can be assured this is from Wyman's mouth.

I realize that the official name is claimed to be known by Monday, but I don't see why there's a problem here in the sourcing (I agree the blogs that are reposting this aren't reliable, but we're talking the original source). --MASEM (t) 01:33, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

People used Wyman's Twitter to source the renewal a few days ago and nobody complained. I personally don't see the harm in using one of the other reliable sources to include the title, but since there is dispute over it we may as well wait. If the title really is going to be released by Monday, then that's barely a day away. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 02:03, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DVR ratings[edit]

The list below shows ratings for Fringe season three including the increase from Live+7 DVRs, as the series is often top on this kind of viewing. I have decided to place them there so somebody can decide whether or not to replace them with Live viewings in the episode table, or to include it in the ratings section for each episode article. Either way right now, a suitable home is the talk page. -- Matthew RD 02:38, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The obvious place for them is in the individual episode articles. The more ratings information that can be placed there the better, especially since the episode table itself is already too crowded to include it. You could otherwise put the table in the season article under the reception heading. Either way it's information worth having somewhere. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 07:46, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I can integrate the data into the individual episode articles. I agree though that the table would be useful for the season's article as well. I think it's very vital information, seeing as how Fringe receives one of the biggest ratings boosts from DVR recordings. Thanks, Ruby2010 comment! 16:17, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
