Since when do "front groups" include groups openly supported by the church and its members, who are openly and actively solicited for donations to support their programs?

Labeling these organizations as "front groups" connotes a sinister or secretive connection that IS NOT in fact present.

All of the ABLE groups are very openly supported by the church. That includes: Narconon, Criminon, Applied Scholastics, and Way to Happiness. In addition the church OPENLY supports and or SPONSORS the following groups: Youth for Human Rights, CCHR, United for Human Rights, Foundation for a Drug Free World, World Institute of Scientology Enterprises, and there are probably more I am forgetting.

Note that all these groups are actually working on programs that matter to lots of people, not just Scientologists. And there is a lot of effective action taking place.

Could it be that those who continue to paint a sinister picture don't appreciate that the church is doing something effective to empower people? L e cox (talk) 06:36, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
