Postmark photo[edit]

I've removed a photo of a Funk postmark from this article.

There are certainly situations in which we'd want to use a photo of a postmark—for example, a holiday cancellation for Valentine, Nebraska or Santa Claus, Indiana, or a first-day cancellation on a stamp commemorating a local resident, historical event, etc.

This is not the case here: the photo depicts an everyday postmark. Apart from the town's name and ZIP Code, there's nothing about it particular to Funk. It doesn't reflect the town's size, economic vitality, local geography, or anything else of interest to encyclopedia readers. Ammodramus (talk) 23:30, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ergo, you speak for all readers of Wikipedia? Thats incredible. I know so much more, I mean the volumes data obtained by looking at grain silos, WHOAHCoal town guy (talk) 17:12, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Delete it, remove it. I think that the photo of grain silos is far more powerful in granting veracity to a town than postmark which would prove, in a true encyclopedic manner that the place existed, BUT WOW bring on the pics of a grain silo, thats far more telling. JUST remember that when that place disappears and people ask for some sort of veracity, and all you have are grain silo photos, I am sure that will carry all the weight in the worldCoal town guy (talk) 03:05, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
