I might be wrong here, but I don't think Gérson had switched to Botafogo before the 1962 World Cup, as the article states. He did play the 1962 Rio state championship for Flamengo, and at the final match -- which took place in early 1963 -- was assigned the impossible task of man-marking Garrincha.
