Powermaster[edit]

Article should probably mention the PowerMaster beer controversy of the early 1990s. Drutt (talk) 03:54, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea. Bigturtle (talk) 00:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming Updates[edit]

Just warning everyone, this article is going to get a complete overhaul in the next few days/weeks. I think it's about time a company that lasted almost 150 years get's it's fair share of Wikipedia! I'll be adding a History section including: Pre-Prohibition (including expanding on the Heileman family and son-in-law Emil Mueller), Prohibition era, and Post-Prohibition (including extreme expansions on Roy Kumm, who isnt even mentioned!, and Russell G. Cleary), and a final portion for the Bond period. I will also add a section on the King Gambrinus statue that Heileman had. And finally, a section detailing their breweries, divisions, and brands (especially linking the brands to where they are located on Wikipedia currently, mostly under Pabst). Hopefully, this will expand the article to what Heileman deserves considering their extremely important impact on the La Crosse area, Wisconsin, and the Midwest! Just a heads up!! -- Kellypm94 (talk) 18:08, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, I'll be updating the Gottlieb Heileman page and creating a Russell G. Cleary page! -- Kellypm94 (talk) 18:44, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am looking forward to the Cleary article, as he was a talented CEO who was able to use friendly ties with local wholesalers (especially in the Chicago area) to fight back, for a while, against what was then the A-B/Miller/Coors triumverate of brewery chains with nationwide TV advertising capacity. Bigturtle The Cleary article is up and running, feel free to add additional info!! My goal is to get Russ and GHB up from start classes to at least C-rated. -- Kellypm94 (talk) 14:08, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
